Recommended Domain Registrars:
NameCheap – the most trusted, reasonably-priced domain registrar
GoDaddy – the most consistently cheapest registrar. There are concerns with how they treat customers who are wrongly accused of wrong-doing – for example a single spam complaint. Or how they deal with hacked accounts and stolen domains. I use GoDaddy for domains of low value to me.
To get the cheapest prices, aside from keeping an eye out for discount codes, try running your own registrar via their WildWestDomains service, or pay to belong to their Discount Domain Club – and get 10%-63% discounts for $87 /yr. If you own more than 20 .com domains (for example), it will save you money.
